Standing out of the children’s theatre scene thanks to its inspiring performances, music, songs and scripts, art group KOPERNIKOS has this year created a new music-theatrical performance based on the idea of an “artistic circus” alongside the rules of slapstick comedy; and it’s going on a wild tour all around Greece!
DO-RE-MI-REDES takes the form of a musical with the liveliness of a live concert, transforming the stage into an at times theatrical frenzy and at times a stage for wild singing and dancing! On stage, five talented musician-actors perform songs, develop orchestral themes, improvise music and perform funny sketches, while narrating the touching story of a beautiful friendship. This is a music group of friends, each with their own special character, who know how to create, have fun and – most of all – overcome each difficulty!

“Doremiredes is a wonderful band known all around the world for its ticklish melodies, hopping rhythms and hilarious lyrics.
But has it always been like this? Of course not! In the beginning, the band members didn’t even know how to play music!
So how were DOREMIREDES created? Had they always been friends or perhaps a mysterious serendipity of time and space united them forever?
Their fascinating story emerges by shedding light on the past, while we’ll see all their rehearsals and exciting adventures that have made them who they are today: the world’s best band!”
The talented performers play multiple and diverse musical instruments on stage, while they also engage in insightful gags and farces starring even young and old spectators! Along with the strong presence of music, the performance doesn’t fall short of humor as well as interaction, as spectators are often asked to actively participate by suggesting, supporting, playing music, replying to questions and helping the heroes of the story to take the right decision.
The idea, the script and the music was created by Aggelos Aggelou & Emi Sini, widely acclaimed artists in the children’s theatre scene (founders of KOPERNIKOS group and awarded in Greece and abroad for their theatrical scripts, books and music). The play is directed by the experienced Johnny O., while Alexis Kotsopoulos takes on the role of conductor. During the play we’ll listen to songs from the KOPERNIKOS group’s successful albums, as well as many new melodies (orchestral and songs) as well as adaptations of popular children’s (and not only!) songs.
