On Friday 7th August and Saturday 8th August, Stavros Xarchakos will present to Andros open-air theatre’s beloved audience the special and rare tribute “5 Folk Figures, in an Intensely Erotic Way”, which brings together five emblematic figures of the contemporary Greek music history.
Full of images, moments and intensity, this unique performance was first presented at the Acropolis Museum’s 10 years of operation anniversary celebration. Received with tremendous success, it was followed by a majestic, sold-out performance at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus theatre awing over 4,000 spectators and enjoying critical appraise.
Leading a seven-member orchestra of top-tier soloists who also provide vocal accompaniment, the Conductor takes us on a rare journey of sounds and feelings along the musical works by Manos Hadjidakis, Mikis Theodorakis, Vassilis Tsitsanis, Markos Vamvakaris and himself.
With favourite sounds and melodies that are etched into our minds and mark an unforgettable trajectory in time, Stavros Xarchakos will present the spectacular musical tribute “5 Folk Figures, in an Intensely Erotic Way”, in a once-only performance which will be remembered for long to come.
